This past Saturday, the second annual Mayor’s Cyber Cup luncheon was held at the Valero Venues at Valero Headquarters where thirty-six high school teams in the San Antonio area were recognized for their participation in the national CyberPatriot competition. CyberPatriot IV, conducted by the Air Force Association and UTSA’s Center for Infrastructure Assurance and Security is completing its fourth year and has featured 1012 high school teams competing against one another through several cyber security defense events. Teams compete electronically at the regional level and those performing best in the regional competition will travel to the national championship from March 22-23, 2012.
The Mayor’s Cyber Cup was designed to recognize the most outstanding team from San Antonio area high schools based on their results from the regional competition. The Mayor presented the San Antonio Mayor’s Cyber Cup trophy to the winning team – and that team for the 2nd year in a row is:
Your Alamo Area Academies Information and Technology and Security Academy (ITSA) Team!
